India enters Nidahas Trophy Finals

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The fifth Nidahas Trophy T 20 International match was played yesterday (14th March) at the R. Premadasa Stadium between India and Bangladesh. Losing only 3 wickets India posted 176 runs on the scoreboard as Bangladesh elected to bowl first after winning the toss. At the beginning of their 20 overs, Rohith Sharma and Shikar Dhawan were off to a slow start however later changed the momentum with cracking shots all over the pitch. The skipper hit five sixes and five fours during his innings. Suresh Raina added 47 runs to the Indian score off 30 deliveries he faced. Chasing a target of 177, Bangladesh could only manage to score 159 for 6 wickets during their 20 overs. For India, Sundar bagged 3 wickets giving away only 22 runs. Bangladesh Batsman Mushfiqur Rahim was the only batsman to play a good inning, he scored 72 runs in 55 deliveries, however, it was not enough to beat the powerful Indian team.
