The current state of SriLankan Airlines is well known by all people of this country.
Since the state authorities took over the national carrier, it has suffered a steady decline.
An administration was appointed to stop the decline -but they didn’t do much. The carrier now run it’s daily activities on massive loans.
Today this matter was raised at an Sri Lanka Freedom Party press conference.
Journalists questioned if the board directors will be allowed the wash their hands off of the debt they created by resigning.
Answering the query, UPFA MP Weerakumara Dissanayake stated that all will be covered through investigations which the President announced.
“The responsible persons have been given instructions. We need to start a revolution when the issue arise” he added.
Adding up to what Dissanayake said, former MP Somaweera Chandrasiri stated that legal action will be initiated and there will be no way out.
“No matter how they hope to escape, they wont be able to escape the law and international law” he said.
Two parties have been constantly bringing up the issue plaguing the national carrier
