President Sirisena accorded warm welcome in Seoul

President Maithripala Sirisena was accorded a warm welcome as he arrived at the Incheon International Airport in Seoul this morning, for a three-day state visit to South Korea.

President Sirisena’s visit comes following an invitation extended by the Korean President Moon Jae-in.

Ministers Dr. Sarath Amunugama and Ranjith Siyambalapitiya accompanied the President and two other ministers Malik Samarawickrama and Thalatha Atukorale are expected to join the delegation later.

MoUs on investment cooperation and the Employment Permit System (EPS) are to be signed between Sri Lanka and South Korea during the visit.
