The Essential Food Commodities Importers and Traders Association has said that a controlled price has been imposed on several essential food items in accordance with 2018 Budget.

Spokesperson of the committee, Hemaka Fernando, said the essential food items include dhal, potato and dry fish.

He added that the price of Bombay onions will not be reduced due to a price hike in India.
