The President has sacked Arundika Fernando from his ministerial portfolio.
Fernando was the Deputy Minister of Tourism Development and Christian Religious Affairs.
He has been removed under the powers vested in the President under the clause 46 (3) (a) of the Constitution, the President’s Media Division said.
A communique issued by the President’s Media Division said the decision to remove Arundika Fernando from his Deputy Ministerial portfolio comes into effect today, Tuesday, September 12.
