Leicester managed to outdo Liverpool to move out of the bottom three in the Premier League.

The Foxes thrilling performance came under the caretaker boss Craig Shakespeare, who took over after the departure of Claudio Ranieri who led them to last season’s remarkable title triumph.

Jamie Vardy opened the scoring for the home-team when he finished low past Simon Mignolet off Marc Albrighton’s precise long pass.

Drinkwater managed to finish with immense class, when he found the back of the net following a clearance from a long throw Christian Fuchs’ cross in the second half.

Philippe Coutinho stroked home a consolation goal in the 68th minute of the game
