News 1st bagged several awards at the 2016 State Television Awards which was held at the Nelum Pokuna Theatre in Colombo on Monday evening.

Rasathurai Jeyaruban won the award for the Best Tamil Language Investigative News Report.

Rajalingam Trishano walked away with the award for Sports Saga in the the Best Tamil Language Sports Programme category.
