Villagers are now turning their attention to the Gammadda Saviya organisation to accomplish their needs.

Yet another project under the Gammadda 100 Day Initiative was declared open on on Wednesday, October 19.

Steps were taken to erect a tower for loud speakers for the students of Rathabalagama Primary School following a proposal made to the 131st Gammadda Saviya Organisation in Rathabalagama.

The 131st Gammadda Saviya Organisation has also come up with several projects to fulfill the needs of the children in the area. While the Gammadda Saviya Organisation is resolving issues at the village level, the News 1st team took measures to renovate the anicut in Indurugaswewa.

The runner up of Miss Intercontinental 2016 Tracy Zylva also participated in this initiative. People in Indurugaswewa avoided using this route earlier due to the dilapidated state of the road.

At a time when money and labour are being wasted, , the News 1st Gammadda 100 days initiative was able to accomplish such tasks due to the generosity of individuals such as Ajith Wijeytunge who sponsored this project.
