Bandaragama businessman goes missing in Trincomalee

Mohammed Nazreen, a 35 year-old businessman and a father of two, living in the Marawa area in Atalugama, Bandaragama left his home around 10:30 p.m.  on Saturday, September 3, but never returned home…

THE INCIDENT

Nazreen left home on Saturday claiming that he is travelling to Maharagama. However, from Maharagama Nazreen had travelled to Trincomalee to attend a jewellery auction at a state bank, where he was last seen.

According to police investigations, 13 people (including the victim) had reached Trincomalee in three vehicles. Police have also revealed that Nazreen had been in possession of around two million rupees at the time of his disappearance.

THE FATHER’S ACCOUNT

“He was at the bank for a while after which he had gone out to get himself some water. There was a colleague with him as well. He had bought a bottle of water for his colleague and some other beverages for two others inside. He went back inside and he has been missing ever since. There is no trace of what happened to him. All I ask is that my son be found from where ever he is”, said Mohammed Nazreen’s father

“He called me at around 10 on Saturday night. He did not call me again after that”, said Mohammed Nazreen’s wife
