CSN channel functioning on state-owned land given for educational, cultural services: Min. Patali Champika

The draft bill on the establishment of the Office of Missing Persons was signed by Speaker Karu Jayasuriya on Tuesday, August 23. Meanwhile,  Minister of Megapolis and Western Development Patali Champika Ranawaka said in Parliament that the state-owned land in which the CSN Channel was functioning on was given to the Rajapaksa Memorial Educational Cultural, Social Services Foundation on a lease.

In reply to the JVP parliamentarian, Nalinda Jayatissa Patali Champika Ranawaka noted that the land was obtained to initiate social service and cultural activities and for commercial activity.

He added that the leasing agreement has been terminated and legal advice has been taken.
