The General Secretary of the United People’s Freedom Alliance, speaking in Walasmulla on Saturday, expressed his views over those who took part on the Joint Opposition march.

General Secretary of the UPFA, Mahinda Amaraweera stated:

There was a procession where many marched and some say that the participation was 20 million while others says that the participation was two million, but the people are aware of how much can be accommodated in Lipton Circus.

“Let us assume that as Geetha said that 20 million arrived. What happens afterwards?” questioned the General Secretary. of the UPFA who went on to explain that what happened was that a group worked to bring Mahinda Rajapaksa to the streets which harmed his reputation. These are persons from several smaller parties and they spread racism and they are the ones who brought in several religious groups. A and it has been revealed that from the then ministry of Wimal Weerawansa, six vehicles have been given to the Ravana Balaya.
