Dambulla

“..There are a group of people who call themselves politicians. They only come here when the elections are near. They conduct various events but now we don’t even know where they are..”

“.. The roads here were not even filled with gravel. It is very difficult for us to travel. The main source of income for us is generated through the sale of our produce which we have to transport across this road ..”

AMBEGAMUWA

Ambegamuwa Maha Vidhyala is a school which represents five different jurisdictions. The water problem is a massive challenge for the school as well as for the village.
After living here for ten years, I have decided to leave, I leave this area as a kidney patient. It has been proven..”

There are about 600 students in this school and they are left to obtain water from a well which is murky and unclean. Water that is drawn from the market-place is also not clean. There is no solution for this problem. Anyone who can give us at least a water filter to ease our burden will be doing us a great assistance ..”
