Is there a motion in set to disband the Financial Crimes Investigation Division or the FCID? Journalists inquired from State Minister Ruwan Wijewardene in this regard.

Responding to questions raised by journalists, State Minister of Defence Ruwan Wijewardene said that he thinks president and the prime minister should discuss this and take a decision. He added that it is not the best thing to stop the FCID from functioning, and interfering in the investigations, that are currently underway.

State Minister Ruwan Wijewardene made these remarks while at an event where dates were distributed to the Muslim Community in the Biyagama electorate in line with Ramazan.
