Former president Mahinda Rajapaksa, who is on a visit to Japan, engaged in religious observances at the Lankaji Viharya in Sawara on Saturday.
Mahinda Rajapaksa is visiting Japan on the invitation of a group of Sri Lankan expats in the country. He will remain in Japan for a period of six days.
The former president and his delegation engaged in religious observances at the Lankaji Viharaya today. The Chief Sanghanayake of Japan Venerable Banagala Upathissa Thero and the Maha Sangha blessed the Former President and his delegation.
MPs including Wimal Weerawansa, Prasanna Ranatunga, Lohan Ratwatte, Rohitha Abeygunawardena Janaka Wakkumbura and Roshan Ranasinghe and the Mayor of Dehiwala Mount Lavinia are among the former president’ entourage.
