A blood donation camp was held at the premises of the head office of the Capital Maharaja Organisation Limited, in line with the Sirasa – John Keells Vesak Zone.
The camp was organised by Kevilton Electrical Products Private Limited. Officials from the National Blood Bank engaged in obtaining blood from volunteers who arrived at the Sirasa – John Keells Vesak Zone.
Kevilton Electrical Products (Pvt) Limited, CEO Anil De Silva stated that they joined hands with the Sirasa Media Network since the inception of the the Vesak Zone. Explaining further, he noted that the basic reason for the endeavour is to provide blood during the emergency disaster situation.
He added that a number of campaigns did not have blood to provide to the people which is why they thought of initiating the move on behalf of Kevilton
According to the officers of the National Blood Bank, around 250 individuals had donated blood at the camp. A programme to free cows who are to be slaughtered was also organised by Kevilton Electrical Products (Pvt) Limited.
