A Sri Lankan delegation which left for Pakistan to improve religious and cultural co-existence between the two countries, met with Pakistan’s President Mamnoon Hussain on Thursday.
The Maha Sangha, including the Mahanayake of the Kotte Kalyani Samagi Maha Sanga Council Most Venerable Iththepane Dhammalankara Thera, Anunayake of the Malwathu Chapter Most Venerable Niyangoda Vjithasiri Thera and President of the Mahabodhi Society of Sri Lanka Venerable Banagala Upatissa Thera attended this meeting.
The delegation, led by Speaker Karu Jayasuriya, comprises of many other public representatives and diplomats.
The presence of a representative of the Capital Maharaja Organisation Limited among this delegation is a significant factor.
