Advisor to the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and Former President, Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga responded to questions raised by journalists over the Hyde Park rally that was held with the participation of former president Mahinda Rajapaksa on Thursday.
“There is no issue in the SLFP, The official party is still there”, said former president, Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga who went on to explain that Maithripala Sirisena is chairman of the party and the official party is in the government. A project to generate electricity using waste was launched in Veyangoda on Friday under the auspices of former president Chandrika Bandaranaike.
A capacity of 3.4 megawatt would be generated in the project designed using Korean technology.
