Q:
This has been reported after 20 years.

A:
I am displeased. This is not a conspiracy. Improper management has led to this.

Q:
Some are speculating that professionals are involved in this, because of the agreement with India.

A:

No. ++Professionals are not that kind of people. They are not the kind who will destroy the place they serve. This is a problem with a lack of management and in governance.

Q:

Some say the two thermal power plants are the sole reasons for this problem. They are saying that your government failed to do the needful.

A:

This is a lie, a big lie. This is something they are attempting to do, to sling mud at us just like they said Chinese investment is bad and that Nelum Pokuma is a toilet pit. We have done something for the loans we obtained. They have obtained bigger loans in the last year alone. What work has been done for that? They have obtained short term loans and have destroyed it.
