United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Prince Zeid Raád Al Husein is due to meet President Maithripala Siresena on Tuesday February 9.
The United Nations Office in Sri Lanka stated that the visiting UN Human Rights Chief is also scheduled to meet Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and Opposition Leader R. Sampanthan.
UN Human Rights Commissioner Prince Zeid, will also particpate in a media briefing at the UN compound in Colombo on Tuesday afternoon.
Prince Zeid Raád Al Hussein in his first official visit as the UN Human Rights commissioner, toured the North, East and visited internally displaced camps and inquired into their well-being.
He also spoke with relatives of persons who went missing during the war.
The UN Human Rights High Commissioner, who toured Kandy on Monday February 8, called on the Chief Prelates of the Malwathu and Asgiri Chapters of the Siam Sect.
Prince Zeid Al Husein is expected to leave the country tonight.
