Police say that motor traffic will be limited on a number of roads in Colombo.

They added that these steps are being taken in line with a ceremony taking place at the Independence Square.

As a result, motor traffic will be limited on Independence Avenue, Maitland Place and the Sri Lanka Foundation road from between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. today, January 9.

Motorists are advised to use alternative roads.
