United National Party Parliamentarian Vadivel Suresh had attempted to enter the parliamentary complex with a can of petrol, citing that he would set himself on fire.
Police had intervened to escort the MP into the Parliament.
On Friday, December 18, the MP said that he would set himself on fire as a mark of protest for the failure to increase wages of estate workers.
The MP attempted to enter parliament with a can of petrol on Saturday citing that his request did not receive a proper solution.
Police, together with the Deputy Sergeant-at-arms, held a discussion with the MP and escorted him into the parliamentary complex.
