Former Chairman of Securities and Exchange Commission, Nalaka Godahewa, was arrested over a financial fraud worth five millions rupees said to have taken place at the Commission.
Police Media Spokesperson ASP Ruwan Gunasekara stated that former chairman of the SEC Nalaka Godahewa was arrested after he arrived at the FCID on Monday morning to provide a statement.
A deputy director general at the SEC and another individual have already been arrested over the alleged irregularities at the Securities and Exchange Commission.
