Sri Lanka fell short of their target of 162 set by the West Indies.
The visitors chose to bat after winning the toss and got off to a good start with an opening partnership of 60 runs.
Sri Lanka struggled in their batting when the Windies struck early in the 2nd over to pick up the wicket of Kusal Perera but the home team looked to come back with a quick fire 60 run partnership in 6 overs between T.M.Dilshan and Shehan Jayasuriya. Dilshan fell after scoring 52 runs and the West Indian bowling capitalized to stop the Sri Lankan chase 23 runs behind the target score.
Dwayne Bravo managed to pick up 4 wickets in four overs and R.Rampaul managed to pick up 3 wickets in his 4 over spell.
