Gotabhaya Rajapaksa summoned to Presidential Commission of Inquiry again

Former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa was once again summoned before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to investigate and inquire into serious acts of fraud, corruption and abuse of power, state resources and privileges on Thursday, September 17.

The Commission’s Secretary, Lacille de Silva stated that Gotabhaya Rajapaksa was summoned to the Commission to record a statement over an incident where employees of Rakna Lanka were used for campaigning activities during the 2015 Presidential Election.

He went on to note that eight others were also summoned to record a statement with this regard.
