Presidential Commission established to investigate ‘missing persons complaints’ in Batticaloa

A presidential commission to investigate complaints and evidence regarding missing persons has been established in the Batticaloa district. Secretary H.W Gunadasa stated that the examination of evidence began at the Secretariat Office in the Kalawanchikudy area and will take place on Sunday, August 23.

He went on to note that that the examination of evidence will also continue on Monday and Tuesday.

He added that work at  presidential commissions to investigate  complaints regarding missing persons is currently underway in all districts in the North and East and  investigations of evidence will commence soon.
