Pakistani police have killed the head of the banned group Lashkar-e-Jhangvi,Malik Ishaq, as he attempted to escape custody on Tuesday in the province of Punjab.
According to the police the attempted escape was foiled, when Malik Ishaq and his two sons Usman and Haq Nawaz, and 11 others, were killed in an exchange of fire with the police.
At least six policeman were injured in the exchange of fire, when the head of the group behind the Shia attacks, attempted to escape custody with the help of his supporters.
