Exposition of Sacred Relics commences at Temple Trees

An exposition of Sacred Relics commenced at Temple Trees on Sunday May 3, under the auspices of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.

The exposition commenced at about 7:30 on Sunday May 3  with the participation of a number of politicians.

The Sacred Relics and items of religious significance, discovered during arachaeological digs at the Neelagiri Seya, are on display.

The exhibition will continue until  May  6, with the assistance of the Ministry of Culture, the Department of Archaelogy and nine other state institutions.

The exhibition is held in line with the Buddha Rashmi Vesak Zone at the Gangaraama temple in Hunupitiya.
