Minister Mangala Samaraweera says that a credible domestic investigation must be held into allegations of human rights violations in the country.
Speaking in Parliament on Friday, the Foreign Affairs Minister said that at this instance, they are prepared to work cooperatively with not only the United Nations and the Human Rights Council, but with all international human rights organisations.
The minister went on to note that they are of the stance that there must be a credible domestic investigation into accusations of human rights violations which took place in Sri Lanka.
