In Parliament on Friday, Opposition Leader Nimal Siripala de Silva raised questions regarding the concessions given to the people through the interim budget.
He said that through the budget that was presented on October 24, 2014 and later adopted, concessions were given to pensioners in terms of an increase in their pensions.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe speaking in the Parliament said that the Mahinda Rajapaksa budget did not give a single cent to the ordinary public sector employee.
He went onto note that they have called on all the wage boards and the private sector to discuss how they can provide these concessions.
