Deputy Chairman of the Palinda-nuwara Pradeshiya Sabha R.P. Banduprema died in an accident that took place in the Makeliella area in Baduraliya on Tuesday evening.

The Deputy Chairman was 62-years old at the time of his demise and a father of three

Our correspondent stated that the accident took place when the vehicle he was travelling in veered off the road and toppled in close proximity to the Makeliella police checkpoint.

The Chairman who was injured in the incident died upon admission to the Baduraliya Hospital.
