The International Cricket Council announced on Friday the umpire and match referee appointments for the pool stage matches of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. The matches will be from February 14 to March 29.
Six Sri Lankan’s are among those who will officiate at the upcoming ICC World Cup 2015.
Ranjan Madugalle and Roshan Mahanama will be officiating as match refrees and Kumar Dharmasena, Ranmore Martinez and Ruchira Palliyagurge will take the field as umpires.
Peter Manuel will officiate as umpires educator for the above tournament.
Marais Erasmus and Nigel Llong will be the on-field umpires for the tournament opener between New Zealand and Sri Lanka in Christchurch on 14 February.
Meanwhile, the ICC has also confirmed umpire appointments for the 14 warm-up matches that will be played in the lead up to the tournament proper.
These matches will be played in Christchurch, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney.
