UNP Western Provincial Councilor S.M. Marikkar attended an event held in the Kohilawatte area on Friday.

This event was held to felicitate five students of the Wennawatte S. Mahinda College for obtaining high marks in the Grade Five Scholarship Examination.

UNP Western Provincial Councillor, S.M. Marikkar shared these views:

As a country where the aurora of the Maithri rule has befallen, it must be mentioned that the Kohilawatte Mosque together with all Sinhala and Muslims have carried out the utmost courtesy in taking the effort to recognise these five students, of which four are Buddhists and one Muslim. They have set the example in carrying out this endeavour. Therefore, the Kolonnawa area where the aurora of a Maithri Rule has eradicated the pollution and drugs, is ready to live together in peace amongst the Sinhalese and Muslims.
