CBSL observes an increase in revenue from tourism industry

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka says that the revenue generated by the tourism industry in 2014 has improved by 28 percent compared to 2013.

During the past one year, one million twenty seven thousand one hundred and fifty three tourists had arrived in the country.

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka says that this was a 19.8 percent increase compared to 2013.A majority if the tourists had arrived in the country  from India, Britain, China,Germany and the Maldives, last year.

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka says that during 2014 the tourism industry had generated an income of 2206 Million US Dollars which is a 28 percent improvement from 2013.
