President Mahinda Rajapaksa states that the election cannot be won through spreading communalism and religious differences.

The President went onto note that today the Tamils, Muslims and Sinhalese who abhor separatism are prepared to make the betel leaf victorious. He made this statement at a public rally held in Kiribathgoda on Tuesday.
