Shot with a GoPro camera-equipped drone, this video shows an aerial view of Apple’s new spaceship-like campus “Campus 2”. The 126-acre campus would include wooded walking areas, restaurants and fitness centres.  It will accommodate up to 13,000 employees.

Separate buildings for research would be built nearby and occupy about 300,000 square feet. A solar power installation is in the plans, and the new campus reportedly would use only renewable power.

The project is expected to be finished by 2016. Apple’s “Campus 2” is located around 2 kms away from the company’s headquarters.

Apple bought most of the land for the campus from Hewlett Packard, where late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs got one of his first summer jobs after calling HP founder Bill Hewlett to ask for spare parts.
