Vice Chairman of the Karuwalagaswewa Pradeshiya Sabha has been arrested by the police on Friday night.

The vice chairman has been arrested in connection with an incident of illegal sand transportation.

Police Media Spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana said he was arrested on charges of obstructing police duty.
