Police have commenced investigations into the suspicious death of a teacher of a renowned Tamil medium school in Bambalapitya. The body was found was based on a tip-off received to the police emergency hotline Tuesday night.

It was also revealed that the victim’s wife had tried to contact him over the phone and that he had not responded.

The Police Media Unit stated that the deceased is a thirty-seven-year-old resident of Kuliyapitiya.

Measures have been taken by the school administration to temporarily suspend activities at the school. Police are yet to ascertain whether foul play was involved in the death of the teacher.
