Five individuals including army personell have been injured in a hand grenade attack that was launched at a house in Nawadagala in Elpitiya.
The Police Media Spokesperson’s Office said that three of those injured have been identified to be the members of the army. The attack has been launched when the soldiers were attending a party along with two others in the area.
Police said the injured were admitted to the Elpitiya Hospital and subsequently transferred to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital in Galle. The attackers have not been identified so far.
Investigations have been launched by the Elpitiya Police to arrest the suspects.
