Mahela, Dilshan and Mathews unsold in IPL auction

Mahela Jayawardene, Angelo Mathews, Tillakaratne Dilshan and several Sri Lankan players remained unsold at the end of the first day of the IPL 7 player auction.

Only Thisara Perara ($ 266m) and Muttiah Muralitharan ($ 166m) were sold on Wednesday’s auction.

The players’ auction will be held today for the second day.

Among the players auctioned on Wednesday, India’s Yuvraj Singh was the most expensive buy when the Royal Challengers, Bangalore made a successful bid for him at a whopping $2.33 million.

The 70 players listed below, were bought for a total of approximately $35 million on the first day of the auction.
