Several key political parties handed in their nominations on Wednesday for the Western and Southern Provincial Council Polls. According to the Elections Secretariat the deadline for independent groups to submit their bonds came to an end at noon on Wednesday.

The UPFA nomination list for the Colombo district was handed in  by General Secretary of the party Minister Susil Premajayantha. The nomination list was handed over at the Colombo District Secretariat Office.

Political parties handed in their nominations in other districts as well.
