Three suspects including the Former Deputy Chairman of the Dehiowita Pradeshiya Sabha has been sentenced to fifteen years of rigorous imprisonment after being produced before the Kegalle Magistrate,  Menaka Wijesundara on Tuesday.

The four suspects were found guilty of robbing a lorry transporting sand in the Napawala – Thalduwa area in Avissawella in 2004.
