May 01, 2009: The Ministry of Health says the administering of the Rubella vaccine in schools, which was temporarily halted, will recommence today.
Following investigations carried out by World Health Organisation officials it was confirmed that it is safe to administer the vaccine,” said Dr. Ajith Mendis, Director General of Health Services.He added that the Health Ministry temporarily halted the administering of the Rubella vaccine following a directive issued by the President.
