Ahungalla Shooting Victim’s Son Linked to Organized Crime

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Police have received information that the son of the man injured in a shooting in Ahungalla early this morning is linked to organized crime. 

The individual is currently residing overseas.

According to police, an unidentified gunman opened fire at the house located along the C. P. de Silva Mawatha before fleeing the scene.

A 74-year-old man was injured in the shooting and was admitted to Balapitiya Hospital.

Police are yet to establish who the gunman was targeting.

Further investigations are underway into the incident.
