Property Linked to ‘Midigama Chuti’ Suspended

COLOMBO (News1st); The use of a house valued at approximately Rs. 15 million belonging to alleged organized crime gang member Rajapaksha Pathirange Prabath Madushanka, better known as "Midigama Chuti", has been temporarily suspended following an investigation conducted by the Illegal Assets Investigation Division of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

Authorities said the property, located in the Pathagama area of Midigama, is believed to have been acquired using proceeds generated through drug trafficking activities.

"Midigama Chuti" is currently being detained by the Criminal Investigation Department under detention orders.

Court proceedings against him are also ongoing in connection with murder and drug trafficking cases.
