Wimal Weerawansa’s Brother Arrested Over Misuse of State Vehicles And Fuel

COLOMBO (News 1st); Former Minister Wimal Weerawansa’s brother, Sarath Weerawansa, was arrested by the Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID).
Police stated that the arrest was made in connection with an investigation into the alleged misuse of vehicles and fuel belonging to the State Engineering Corporation during the period when Wimal Weerawansa served as a Cabinet Minister.
The suspect is scheduled to be produced before court.
