COLOMBO (News 1st); An International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation that arrived in Sri Lanka is scheduled to hold discussions today with senior officials from the Finance Ministry, the Central Bank and other state institutions, Deputy Finance Minister Dr. Anil Jayantha Fernando said.
Dr. Fernando said the meetings are being held ahead of the IMF’s seventh review of Sri Lanka’s programme and are intended as preparatory talks. During the visit, IMF staff will analyse recent economic developments in the country and consult with local authorities on progress and outstanding issues under the programme, he added.
