Fertilizer Distribution Through Farmers’ Associations

COLOMBO(News 1st); Deputy Minister of Agriculture Namal Karunaratne says that a decision has been made to provide fertilizer to farmers through farmer Associations.
The Deputy Minister stated that the objective of this is to prevent fertilizer from being taken by middlemen.
He added that from now on, fertilizer companies will distribute fertilizer to farmer Associations.
