Sri Lanka Launches Anti-Corruption Drive in Universities

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) and the University Grants Commission (UGC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at eliminating corruption from university education.

According to CIABOC, the MoU positions the higher education sector as a strategic focal point in the national effort to combat corruption.

The agreement outlines a framework to embed anti-corruption values into university systems and academic culture.

As part of the initiative, a comprehensive expansion framework will be introduced to integrate anti-corruption principles into university curricula.
