Sri Lanka Names Acting Ministers During President’s UN General Assembly Visit

COLOMBO (News 1st); The government has appointed acting ministers to oversee four key ministries as President Anura Kumara Dissanayake visits the United States to attend the United Nations General Assembly.

Labour Minister and Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Anil Jayantha Fernando, has been appointed as the Acting Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization, and National Policies. 

Eranga Weeraratne, Deputy Minister of Digital Economy, will serve as the Acting Minister of Digital Economy.

Deputy Minister of Defence, Aruna Jayasekara, has been named Acting Minister of Defence, while Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment, Arun Hemachandra, will serve as the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism.
