COLOMBO (News 1st) — Sri Lanka’s export sector has shown a significant rebound, with the Export Development Board (EDB) and the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development reporting a notable surge in performance for August 2025.
From January to August 2025, the country generated $11.6 billion in export revenue, marking a major milestone in its post-crisis economic recovery efforts.
According to official data, exports in August alone grew by 6.61% compared to the same month last year, signaling renewed momentum.
